Declaration

I, ('THE USER'), hereby request permission to search and download for scholarly purposes the APU Writing and Reading Corpus 1979-1988 (‘APU’). I agree by this request to adhere to the following conditions of use:

  1. THE USER acknowledges that APU is subject to copyright restrictions and agrees to abide by them. THE USER acknowledges that violations of copyright restrictions may result in legal liability.

  2. THE USER will acknowledge APU in any written work or oral presentation based on research using these materials.

  3. THE USER will make no commercial use of APU without prior permission.

  4. THE USER will not redistribute APU to others, except in limited searches under the normal standards of scholarly citation.

  5. THE USER agrees to notify all associates who access the downloaded or supplied copy of APU of the copyright restrictions and of their obligation to respect the provisions of this agreement as additional users.

  6. THE USER acknowledges that the creators and distributors of APU make no warranties, express or implied, concerning APU, including but not limited to their ownership, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. The creators and distributors shall not be liable for any direct, consequential, punitive or other damages suffered by THE USER or any other person resulting from the use of the distributed materials.
